New York Post said that Demand Media and Scripps Network are talking about a possible partnership. Scripps Network owns HGTV, the Food Network, and other cable channels whose subject matter meshes well with Demand's. The two companies also have Rachel Ray in common.
For a second or two, I was thinking it would be cool to write for TV. But then I realized that if the deal does go through, we would almost certainly be writing for the websites of the TV stations, not for the stations themselves.
In any case, I'm taking this as one more sign that Demand Media is the content company most likely to survive the Panda storms.
